<p>Jason Garcia is an American muralist and interdisciplinary studio artist based in Detroit making work about the construction of cultural symbols and patterns, the agency and consciousness of objects, the communication between the work and the transient viewer and the communal mapping and navigation of an ultimately manufactured narrative.  Simply put, Garcia is making work about a part of what it means to experience being human.  He has worked nationally and internationally with multiple organizations including the Social Public Art Resource Center (CA), Precita Eyes Mural Arts Center (CA), Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies (CA), Rainforest Action Network (CA), Playing For Change (South Africa), Project Ahimsa (India), The University of Colorado Art Museum (CO) and The Smithsonian Sikh Heritage Foundation (DC).  Fundamental to his art process, Garcia champions a stalwart connection to his community by being a devoted resource. </p>

<p>Scott McDonald is the Lead Creative Director of the Concrete Canvas Art Festival, a philanthropist and professional large-scale artist. He is regularly featured in regional and international media as a celebrated, prolific professional muralist, digital artist and visual artist.</p>
<p>His work is displayed across North America, Europe and Cuba, recently collaborating with famous artists such as Burnt Toast, Ricardo Cavello and Sugar Bones. He is currently working on a first-of-its-kind interactive augmented reality art project that will be featured during Hamilton ON&#8217;s Supercrawl 2022. He has over 25 years of experience as a professional artist, art director and curator with a well established international network of artistic, business and political colleagues.</p>
<p>He is a driving force of Hamilton&#8217;s artistic renaissance and his murals and street art dominate Hamilton&#8217;s neighbourhoods, as do his cultural development initiatives working with the City and local BIAs. He is a recipient of the Tourism Relief Fund for Concrete Canvas 2022, including over 100K in municipal funding for the international arts festival and associated mentorship programs. Scott is pursuing private and public funding opportunities to further develop and optimize Project Project, his interactive, augmented reality art project.</p>

<p>Matt Gondek is a Deconstructive Pop Artist, whose work is possessed with a punk rock spirit, celebrating rebellion and destruction. With a visceral pop color palette and a disarmingly playful tone, he tears down cartoon idols, akin to slaughtering our modern day gods. Born in 1982, his creative voice is rooted in the 90s; as a true conduit of his generation and their potentially pointless search for meaning and purpose amidst a cruel life in a flawed world. He boasts sold out exhibitions in his home of Los Angeles as well as New York, Paris, Bangkok, and Hong Kong.</p>

KEV SCRAPS (Kevin Burdick)

<p class="">Seattle-based artist Joe Nix was raised in cities surrounding the Puget Sound, as the son and grandson of Boeing and Naval engineers, whose work is inspired by a personal connection to the blue collar history of a port city. His appreciation of craftsmanship and materiality are evident through the handmade canvases and quality of finish reflective of the vessels that house the mechanical subjects he depicts.</p>
<p class="">These machines are not soulless. They are historical relics and family portraits; an ode to an industrial port city. They represent a lineage and a spirit that he is driven to hold onto in a time of microchips and plastic. His compositions are some of the last references to blue collar makers in Seattle, poetically piecing together components that have been discarded and forgotten.</p>
<p class="">Joe grew up in engine rooms witnessing the mechanical orchestra of objects incarnate that brought cold steel and wood vessels to life. He discovered he was an artist in Belltown, through the support of a community of misfits. He is not fond of new visions that replace these foundational structures in his life. A culture that does not value the past will just be next to go.</p>
<p class="">Nix paints assemblages of engine parts, representative of all of the delicate and resilient components that have made this thing run. His dad and grandfather are in there, and so are the buildings, neighborhoods, artists, drunks, musicians and freaks that made Seattle home. Things change, sure, but where is the wisdom, character, and community responsibility in scrapping it all? These old engines don’t break, they just need a little love and fine tuning. So before you go reinventing the wheel, please hold on.</p>


JOE NIX

<p>I started doing graffiti/street art in 1982, I immersed myself in the hip-hop culture. After many years of painting in Detroit I realized the importance of my voice, artistically, and feel I could do something positive with that voice. I write my thoughts and passion for the people and the communities next to the art pieces I paint on the walls, as a positive word. My need to fight for the things that we believe, the community we live in, our friends, neighbors and families are put at the forefront of my work. This is nowhere near the end of what I have to say.</p>

<p>Born in Brazil, raised in New York, and developed in South Florida, Grabster pulls inspiration from decades of independent study and his eclectic upbringing to create colorful, dynamic, and skillful works. His technical expertise is a facet of his work, evident in his geometric and precise designs built to any scale.</p>
<p>Grabster works with fine art publishers like 1XRUN, where his series of original paintings sold out on opening day. His mural work for Onlyfans was the subject of the brand’s recent mini docu series. He’s also collaborated with other large organizations like Formula 1, the US Open, and Redbull to create murals, branded installations, and art aimed at community engagement.</p>
<p>Recognized for his retro-futuristic elements, abstract geometry, and tropical color schemes, Grabster’s work can be found worldwide and across South Florida, where he’s been an established member of the street art community for over 15 years.</p>

<p>James Wilson is a young Australian artist whose work crosses through the worlds of animation, illustration and painting.</p>
<p>Journeying through the nostalgia of obsolete technology, youth culture and the pitfalls of young love, Wilson’s rose-tinted references look back at the universal growing pains of adolescence and unripe adulthood.</p>
<p>Wilson currently works out of Newfoundland, Canada where he creates visual reactions to his new environment.</p>
<p>Exploring life through loose and often nonlinear narratives, his acute observations peer through a wryly introspective lens, deconstructing cultural stereotypes and poking fun at fragile male egos and sassy female stereotypes.</p>
<p>Encompassing everything from dating apps and youth culture, Wilson presents abstracted miniature storylines in his captivating vignettes. Scornful female characters spit acidic ripostes at skater bois from behind sultry eyelashes, everyday items like crushed beer cans, spray paint nozzles and lighters are deconstructed to form loosely-arced narratives in voyeuristic vignettes.</p>

<p>Devin Liston. Working mostly in oil painting and muralism, Liston began his career as part of several collaborative art teams, including CYRCLE and DEVNGOSHA, before going solo at the end of 2014. Drawing inspiration from utilitarian objects, sports, bugs, and imagery from his childhood, Liston’s process is intuitive and direct, while also referencing relationships, time, existence, space, and otherworldly interventions. “The language of sports has helped me to create a dialogue between myself and the universal nature of competition in everything that exists,” he says.</p>

<p>Patch Whisky is an American muralist, fine artist, and toy maker. His primary medium is aerosol and acrylic paint. Patch&#8217;s murals can be seen on walls across the country from NYC to Los Angeles to Miami to Honolulu.His work has been featured in numerous galleries and publications including the Museum of Sex in NY,The New York Times, Museum of Art in Columbia,SC and recently in Paris France. PATCH WHISKY (Richard Miller)

<p>PERU143 is an internationally recognized Peruvian-Canadian muralist and graphic artist whose practice is informed by digital and traditional art forms and his 25 years of painting graffiti. Peru’s work aims to heal, inspire and uplift people’s spirits by transforming neglected and often oppressive spaces into safe, playful, and imaginative worlds.</p>
<p>A proponent of the ‘Graffuturism’ movement and avid traveler, Peru’s art troubles physical and temporal boundaries to uncover novel ways of experiencing otherwise unremarkable spaces. His style is marked by a puzzle-like use of simple geometric shapes, clean lines scaled up to fit any space, and use of primary colours evocative of the simplicity of childhood. Reworking simple and bright graphic elements into complex patterns and meditative murals, Peru’s art evokes a feeling of uplifting wonder.</p>
<p>Ultimately, his purpose is to encourage social change in the form of consciousness-shifting works of art – to create works that communicate the need to rise above our differences by understanding the interconnectedness of all living things.</p>

<p>Sarah M Robbins is a professional muralist, graphic designer and illustrator who uses bright colours to spread joy one wall at a time. After the loss of her Father, she decided to switch brushes, and focus on painting murals to spread positivity and light into the world for those who may also need it.</p>
<p>Sarah is driven to bring colour and joy to communities and neighbourhoods. One of the few muralists in Windsor who paint with a brush, Sarah’s work is often inspired by nature and colour, but is willing to work with the client to bring their true vision to life.</p>
<p>When she’s not painting murals, Sarah works as a freelance graphic designer with local businesses.</p>

<p>Professionally known as Tony Whlgn ( Hoo &#8211; li &#8211; gen ), I’m an Artist + Designer, born on Detroit’s Eastside. With a background in Digital and Fine Art, I’ve survived as an Artist in the 21st Century by creating unconventional ways for my work to be experienced and made available for mass exchange. From music to garments, carrying out a solid narrative effectively is a top priority.</p>
<p>At an early age, my life was consumed by the Arts, which allowed my skills to be refined and developed thru various artistic disciplines. I.e. Photography, Architecture, Painting, Sculpture and Transportation design. I decided College, wasn’t the route my Life was destined to go and began Pioneering a path of my own.</p>
<p>In 2009, with the help of my close friends we formed, the Whlgn®. My friends and I came to a mutual understanding and we believed in each other’s progress and in our own skill sets respectively. We encourage creatives and individuals alike to be entrepreneurial, live out their dreams, follow what they believe to be true, and not conform to what society believes will make them happy in their lives. Our objective is to open the door of imagination &amp; inspire individuals that can relate. What makes us Whlgns, is that we do what we want because we love what we do.</p>

<p>Infused with Canadian imagery, Whatisadam’s style is reminiscent of vintage comics and pop art. Depictions of North American wildlife and landscapes are common themes within his work, but are always reimagined to feature elements of urban culture, as seen in his maple ‘sizzurp’ cans, tattooed ducks and hockey hoodlums. Whatisadam has collaborated with many organizations such as Osheaga, Sprite, Hennessy, Roots Canada and many more.</p>

<p>Zach is a graphic artist and designer living in beautiful Detroit, Mich. He received his BFA from the University of Oregon in 2011.</p>
<p>Clients range from small businesses to multinational companies and government institutions. The common thread in his work is an emphasis on creating meaningful experiences online and in real life. Zach likes to make work that makes the places we live better places to be.</p>

<p>I painted a friend’s garage in 2021 out of sheer boredom and found working on large scale stencils very satisfying.  Before long, other neighbours are requesting work, too. The community has been a huge supporter of my work. Toronto has a big influence on my designs. I use elements of pop art and graphic illustration to help bring colour and positivity to neighbourhoods around me, one garage door or wall at a time.  Stencils help maintain the works, as well.</p>


DAVID SILVEIRA  (D.Terra)

<p>Budding from a long family history of visual artists, it was natural for Jesse Kassel to follow suit. In 2010 he earned a BFA with a focus in illustration and has since been exploring various creative outlets. Drawing inspiration from vintage advertisements and graphic design coupled with the rich cultural context and aging city façade, Kassel’s work is an Americana-tinged portrayal of the leisure seeking working class. His paintings of alcohol and tobacco products reflect social celebrations as well as the consequential dependency and grief of substance abuse. Using salvaged wood, household paint and twine, Kassel assembles his work with materials reminiscent of rural craft fair debris. His work has been featured at exhibitions both locally and around the world.</p>


JESSE KASSEL

<p>Evond Blake is a Canadian visual artist who has worked under the pseudonym MEDIAH for 23 years. An Internationally renowned artist, MEDIAH blurs the lines between post-graffiti and dynamic abstraction. Heavily inspired by avionics and mechanical engineering the artwork glorifies and captures the essence of speed, motion and force to create movement on the image surface.</p>
<p>Blake’s work provides the viewer with not only this glorification of speed relating to the thirst for a faster and more streamline world but also its unavoidable repercussions of collision, disaster and chaos.</p>


MEDIAH

<p>Meaghan Claire Kehoe is a full-time emerging mural artist and painter based in Oshawa with community connections across southern Ontario. Her public street art pieces can be experienced in Toronto, Kitchener, Waterloo, London, St.Thomas and future work is coming soon to Simcoe, Aylmer, Brooklin and Port Burwell.</p>
<p>  With a fascination toward human psychology and the inner strength to overcome human pain and challenges, Meaghan’s draw is toward representing female strength, depth, resilience and confidence. Meaghan employs symbols from nature, especially to tell a human story that is universal and yet personal to her own. Her works are about connectivity, inclusivity, and awareness. With intense expressive colour, splashes of realism, and punches of geometric shapes and collage, her beautiful aesthetic draws you in. However, it is the prideful subject who welcomes and invites you to stay.</p>

<p>Born in British Columbia, Jeremy Shantz studied classical painting, sculpture, film and creative electronics, receiving his BFA with honors at UBC-Okanagan and Emily Carr. He now lives and works in Montreal and exhibits internationally. With a multimedia practice engaged in painting, drawing, sculpture, muralism, photography, the graphic arts and cinematography, Shantz is your “go to” guy. He can be described as a pop-surrealist, exploring themes of sexuality, the unknown, erotic potential, and illusions of material transformation.</p>

<p>Czr Prz is an urban contemporary artist working in sculptural fabrication, large-scale aerosol murals, and all manner of design. Born and raised in working class Chicago, Prz’s 20 year creative career has spanned America all the way to Europe. Across their multifaceted media, Prz’s artworks tell stories in the folklorico tradition instilled by his Latino-Caribbean upbringing.</p>
<p>Prz recovered from Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2015, a battle that halted his trips abroad, resuming his creative practice without missing a beat. In the past year alone, Prz has painted murals for CATAN in Albany Park and Paint Memphis Fest in Tennessee. Prz’s fine art fabrication has shown at Modern Eden Gallery in San Francisco and Epiphany Center for the Arts, where he’s the curator behind Idol Hands, a group show centered around craft on view through Feb. 2022. Prz is also one half of Ava Grey, a creative firm based in Chicago’s South Side.</p>

<p>Hailing from Detroit, MI, Cody Calebra is a 5 year veteran comic &amp; lost boy that is climbing the ranks of the midwest comedy circuit. Recently featuring for comedy heavyweights Chris Porter, Emma Willmann, J. Chris Newberg, Bill Bushart, Zach Martina &amp; more – Cody has recently taken the plunge to become a full time comic and put his full force behind taking his act to the next level – preaching the highs and lows of sex, drugs, and gettin’ old – in Detroit, throughout the midwest, and beyond.</p>

<p>CLEAR EYES COLLECTIVE is a mural crew based out of Hamilton, Ontario made up of members Darian Poisson, Adam Bates and Josh Kellett. Our mission is to integrate the mysterious power of art into the plain cityscape, transforming ordinary spaces into an immersive gallery. Our approach to public art has always been rooted in creating vibrant visual environments that connect and uplift the community at large.</p>
<p>We have been painting large-scale murals as a team for 6+ years, and in that time we have had the opportunity to partner with local businesses, festivals, corporations and different municipalities and cities. We take tremendous care to make sure our designs are tailored to each specific project, while always maintaining a vibrant and bold style that naturally comes out of our collaborations.</p>


CLEAREYES COLLECTIVE

<p>San Diego based artist, Christopher Konecki loves writing about himself in the 3rd person.</p>
<p>Konecki is self-taught and constantly experimenting. He is known for completing large scale aerosol murals, fine artwork including paintings and miniature sculptures, as well as various public and private site specific installations. Konecki&#8217;s work is explorative of social consciousness, generally irreverent, and focused on subjects that are both serious and absurd. His use of found and &#8216;repurposed&#8217; objects in his work advocates the reassessment of typical ideals of function and beauty. Elements of nature often collide with harsh urban landscapes and elements of street art and graffiti, symbolizing the ongoing struggle between the harmonious coexistence of these two competing monumental forces.</p>
<p>In the last five years of his professional art career, Konecki has exhibited in galleries throughout Southern California. His expanded work includes participation in international mural festivals in New Zealand, Canada, and Mexico. In 2015, Konecki completed the largest mural in San Diego covering 9,500 sqft of the 7-story parking structure at 707 Broadway. Konecki is responsible for the curation of tentpole events in the San Diego art scene such as Warehouse 1425 and the ongoing curation of the event space SILO in Makers Quarter which has resulted in nearly 100 murals. Konecki also co-founded Cohort Collective with a small group of well-known dedicated artists that continue to produce live art events and exhibitions in San Diego and beyond. Alongside non-profit organizations Pangeaseed Foundation and Surfrider Foundation, Cohort Collective co-curated Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans San Diego 2016 creating over 20 large scale public artworks that promoted various pressing environmental concerns. Konecki’s installation work may be viewed in numerous establishments, including Oxford Social Club at the Pendry Hotel San Diego, The Container Yard DTLA, Waypoint Public Restaurants, Park and Rec, Silo in Makers Quarter, Hub Marketplace, Form15 and the Arts Center of San Diego.</p>

<p>Chris Haven is not your typical artist; he&#8217;s a creative visionary who paints the world with a brush of originality and humor. With a diverse array of influences, moods, and mediums at his disposal, Chris has crafted a unique artistic identity that continually evolves and surprises. From the rhythm of hip-hop to the soul of reggae, his art reflects his ever-changing musical preferences and moods. As a music producer himself, he&#8217;s a true connoisseur of sound, and this eclectic taste infuses his work with a dynamic energy that&#8217;s always in flux.</p>
<p>Chris refuses to be confined to a single artistic medium, embracing everything from spray paint to digital art, markers to airbrush. His journey has taken him from charcoal realism to graffiti, a testament to his endless experimentation. For Chris, art is a manifestation of the imagination, a reflection of his belief in originality above all. His clever and humorous ideas often emerge from the mundane aspects of daily life, sparking whimsical innovations that know no bounds. <div>The artist Bruno , also known as &#8220;Smoky&#8221;, dedicated his life to visual art. Since childhood, drawing and creativity was always part of his daily routine. In 2004, he began painting on walls with spray paint in Brasilandia where he grew up, a precarious neighborhood of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Smoky has gained international and professional recognition through his artistic journeys though out Brazil, Chile, the Dominican Republic,  Venezuela, Argentina,Paraguay,Sweden,USA, Germany, Nederlands, England and Canada. He is always in search of artistic exchanges, learning and teaching art is part of his life style. He has worked in various organizations and NGOs teaching the history of graffiti and its role in society to at risk youth.  He is the coordinator for the Essencia Arts Collective, and a founding member of the Clandestinos Crew. Recently, Smoky has moved to Toronto, Canada together with his wife and artistic collaborator, Shalak, and continues his art practice.</div>

BRUNO SMOKY (Bruno Rivette)

<p class="">My artistic journey began with a spark of inspiration from graffiti. Drawing had always been a passion of mine, but it was the dynamic and expressive nature of graffiti that set my creative path ablaze. Pursuing a degree in Illustration at OCAD University in Toronto allowed me to further develop my skills and provided a stimulating environment to continuously practice and improve.</p>
<p class="">As I honed my skills in graffiti, I discovered that my talent could be applied to creating stunning interior and exterior murals. This realization led me to establish Blazeworks while still in university, and to begin taking on commissioned mural work.</p>
<p class="">After graduation, I pursued a career as a freelance mural artist, graphic designer, and illustrator. Over the years, I&#8217;ve had the pleasure of working with various clients, including Facebook, The City Of Toronto, TVO, and many other businesses and privately commissioned works. I&#8217;ve also participated in numerous mural and graffiti festivals around the world, including Meeting of Styles in Malaysia, Concrete Canvas in Hamilton, and various events in Ontario.</p>
<p class="">In 2017, I relocated to Southeast Asia to further develop my skills and broaden my creative perspective. This period of time was a transformative experience, rekindling my connection to my Asian heritage and inspiring a new foundation for my artistic journey.</p>
<p class="">Throughout my ten years as a professional mural artist, the narrative of my artwork has always been a top priority. I view graffiti and illustration as powerful forms of storytelling that can express the adversity we face in life. I focus on culture, technology, and our relationship to the environment in my work, using art as a vessel to communicate my messages and tell my stories.</p>
<p class="">Moving forward, I&#8217;m excited to expand my artistic expression from walls to canvas, sharing my stories and messages on new platforms. I&#8217;m grateful for the incredible journey I&#8217;ve had thus far and look forward to what the future holds.</p>

<p>Jerry Rugg aka birdO is a multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto. While his surreal geometric animals can be found on canvas, in digital print, and installation, birdO is primarily known for his large-scale mural work on walls and buildings around the world. Jerry’s long passion for the arts, his storied experience working in film, and the skills acquired as an award winning graphic designer, have all contributed to his approach, which focuses on an acute awareness of the surface and studious preparation with regard to local culture and surroundings.</p>

BALLOONSKI (Andrew John Mikaiv)

<p class="">Born on a family farm in upstate New York, Justin Suarez is an aerosol and fine artist who celebrates wildlife with large-scale spray painted murals. His work immediately draws the viewer in by capturing magnificent movement over concrete and brick. With over 20 years experience, he has painted murals across the US, and his work has been exhibited around the world. Justin Suarez brings the intensity of a raptor to his artistic endeavors, as well as his work as a valued handler of birds of prey at Wild Wings Animal Sanctuary outside Rochester, NY.. He also works well with humans, with a rich history of collaborating with other artists on a vast array of murals. He is responsible, punctual, a master of logistics and a born team player.</p>
<p class="">In the fall of 2015, Suarez co-founded <em>Roc Paint Division</em>, the City of Rochester’s Youth Mural Arts Program. <em>Roc Paint Division’s</em> mission is to beautify the city’s R-Centers through mural arts while providing employment and training opportunities to young developing artists. Now in its 7th year, the program has enriched the lives of over 50 individual youth, allowing them to leave their mark behind to inspire future generations.</p>

<p>Like many reputed artists, Alex Bask Hostomsky has a fascinating backstory. Hostomsky fled communist Czechoslovakia in the 1980s with his family as a child and spent his formative years growing up in sunny Florida. In fact, Hostomsky’s family actually escaped Czechoslovakia illegally and sought refuge in a refugee camp in Austria.</p>
<p>Even as a child Hostomsky took an early interest in graffiti as an art form, so it’s no surprise that he grew up to be one of the United State’s most popular graffiti artists. However, Hostomsky’s road to success had its fair share of challenges and as a teenager, Hostmosky was a young delinquent who was ordered to perform community service at the Salvador Dali Museum.</p>
<p>Whilst working at the Salvador Dali Museum, one of Hostomsky’s friends was fatally shot and Hostomsky decided that he may be able to forge a better path for himself by becoming an artist. As he already had a keen interest in graffiti art, Hostomsky quickly began work on creating a career for himself as a professional street artist.</p>

<p>I am a painter, designer and graffiti artist from Florida, now based in Montreal, Quebec. I am represented by Station16 Gallery.</p>
<p>When I was young&#8230;I watched a lot of T.V. and drank a lot of Kool-Aid. Growing up, I experienced a mix of military and native cultures eventually sending me on a quest to find a visual language that could express the mix of mythologies in my life. In my early teens, I became involved in skateboarding, graffiti and hip-hop culture in general.</p>
<p>I use hand techniques but am influenced by the &#8220;computer-graphics age&#8221;. I often work with a combination of brush and spray-painting.</p>
<p>Some of my inspirations are military insignia, nature, skateboard and tattoo art, old signs, tarot cards, native cultures, &#8220;secret society&#8221; symbolism, Japanese art, propaganda, diagrams, video-games, the 1980&#8217;s and 90&#8217;s at large, science, action movies and vintage advertising &#038; cartoons.</p>

<p>Unwell Bunny&#8217;s artist history begins in Adelaide, Australia as a young 16 year old teen spraying walls and train lines. His initial ideas grew from 90&#8217;s graffiti following a mix of both letter and character based aerosol art.<br />
He moved to Melbourne in 2002 and began showing his work in Melbourne galleries. He became active in the Melbourne street art scene leaving paste up and graffiti works through the lanes and suburbs of Melbourne.<br />
He had his first solo exhibition at Per Square Meter in Melbourne was run by LA based duo Dabs Myla at the time. In 2012, he lived in Amsterdam and spent time with London graffiti and Street art heavy weight D&#8221;Face and Parisian pop graffiti icon Tilt. There he painted projects for Amsterdam street artists the London Police. In 2014, he was included in Metro gallery&#8217;s &#8216;international street art exhibition&#8217; with the likes of ELK, Rone, D*Face, Blek le Rat, and Faile earning a place as an emerging international Australian urban based artist.<br />
In early 2015, he had a solo show at Galerie Lacroix in Paris, which continued the theme of figurative abstract painted works based on a subconscious dialog and drawings based on a build-up of popular culture imagery. He is currently working on future projects based both in Australia and internationally focusing on the further investigation into the popular subconscious.</p>

<p class="has-small-font-size">Rime goes about his paintings like a diary, an illustration of his quotidian quest for the essential. His recent works invite us to introspection, or as he puts it: “Looking into this painting is looking into the mirror of imagination, a mirror of you.” A sheer concentration of energy, Rime’s universe mixes colors, movement and light sources to which the artist has affixed his own lexicon composed of creatures from a universe of cartoons, symbols and multiple details.</p>

<p class="has-small-font-size">Heavily inspired by the cartoon world, Rime’s style brashly mixes color with plentiful details and with constantly moving forms. In his lurid compositions, the artist (a.k.a. Jersey Joe) unleashes a sort of violence checked by his mastery of strokes and the varieties of his lines and brush strokes. He adds in his own personal vocabulary of imaginary animal symbols and characters, placed in the canvas like hieroglyphics or stylized writing. His two-dimensional paintings seem to leap from the very wall thanks to his moving lines and his structure-building forms, and to the light flowing from his compositions. Full of details, figures and symbols, each work helps the viewer discern time and again previously unsuspected historical fragments. As with a song of which the meaning suddenly emerges, Rime’s works must be viewed and mastered with time.</p>

creates art in order to examine a question that has always been with him: How deep can you go?<br />
NYCHOS is an alter ego, created by a kid who grew up amidst a clash of cultures: A world, where<br />
Austrian Tradition and its Hunting Culture meets Eighties Pop Culture, Comic and Television. The<br />
visual input from back then still contributes to the output of the adult.</p>
<p>By the means of anatomy, NYCHOS investigates the living species across different contexts and<br />
different media. His favorite tool is the spray can, his favorite surface is large. Questioning contrasts,<br />
he unifies looseness and accuracy. Severity and irony. The inner and the outer world. The dark and<br />
the bright. And most importantly, life and death. Within his oeuvre, one embraces the other. All<br />
becomes one.</p>
<p>NYCHOS creates art from deep within his soul. Deeply rooted in Graffiti and shaped by the visual<br />

NOSEGO

<p>Descended from a line of acclaimed artists, Dave &#8220;Persue&#8221; Ross continues family tradition and is recognized by his colleagues and peers as a true artistic pioneer. In the late 80&#8217;s, Persue (pronounced &#8216;per-SWAY&#8217;), found himself irresistibly drawn to the world of graffiti.</p>
<p>With an energetic, illustrative style, his technical ability and poise as a young writer quickly earned him the respect of his contemporaries throughout the world. Between 1991 and 2010, Persue transcended boundaries both on and off the street by bridging the gap between underground and mainstream culture in the skateboarding industry. With an impressive design resume that pre-dates almost any example of street aesthetics being paired with skateboarding, his influence is woven seamelessly into the fabric of modern day youth culture.</p>
<p>In 2010 Persue shifted his focus from corporate work to his own projects. He eventually brought his endeavors full circle by relocating to New York City in 2014, returning his family&#8217;s brand called &#8220;Home&#8221; to its roots, which reach into New York City&#8217;s past as far back as the 60&#8217;s. His background as a graphic artist, designer and muralist affords him a natural transition into the fine art sphere as his aesthetic continues to evolve. Persue now produces his latest work as a bi-coastal artist, based in New York City.</p>

<p class="">My name is Nekoes and I am from San Diego, California, currently residing in Florida. I paint and create artwork inspired by skateboarding, graffiti culture, music, and human behaviors. On occasion I also build and design furniture.</p>
<p class="">I build and create with reclaimed and newly purchased wood materials. Sometimes while creating, a painting can become a sculpture or even a piece of furniture. I look forward to the happy accidents and unexpected inspiration while creating. Infinite possibilities on the outcome of each creation is what keeps me engaged and continuously working</p>

<p>Fighting for our rights is existential. Just as in a family, each individual’s views and opinions stem from their own personal identity and experiences which, in turn, define boundaries. Each identity presents itself differently through dress codes, body language, and speech patterns, amongst other which signal adherence to a particular opinion, group, or subculture. Their outward appearance, and accompanying sense of belonging can be a relatively effective tool of emancipation, empowering individuals to attract public attention to specific issues, either as a symptom of, or protest against, current socio-political problems, and forms of injustice or discrimination relative to different places and cultures. Despite negative perceptions of them, among those who have claimed their freedom of expression and chosen to protest in the street some, as history shows, have been successful in forging negotiations. For me, depicting scenes of riot is a way to explore and record social and political changes in forms that the written word and cameras cannot. It is an alternative way to engage in, and show how people experience and express their anger, disagreement and despair. I choose to work with the same materials, and often in the same way, as protesters themselves, using spraycans, paint, stencils, cardboard, and wood, transforming not only mass media news into alternative images to expose its human side for impact and consideration, but also to experience and reflect the reality of the street, the very essence of street art.</p>

<p>While Elliott was born in Montreal, he spent his formative years living in Saint Vincent. Elliott helped his mother recreate costumes for the local carnival with which his father was heavily involved. Upon his family&#8217;s return to Canada, Elliott was introduced to street art while studying at the Etobicoke School of the Arts. His high school&#8217;s guidance counsellor directed him to Sheridan College&#8217;s program in Animation and affirmed for the young artist the possibilities of a career in the arts.</p>

<p>Australian born artist Ben Frost is known for his kaleidoscopic Pop Art, mash-up paintings that take inspiration from areas as diverse as graffiti, collage, photorealism and sign-writing.</p>
<p>He has been exhibiting throughout the world for the last 12 years and has been involved in his own share of controversy. In 2000, he faked his own death for an exhibition suitably titled ‘Ben Frost is Dead’ which made national news in Australia. His painting ‘White Children Playing’ caused a stir for its graphic depiction of children using drugs and a masked and disgruntled assailant slashed one of the paintings in his exhibition at the Institute of Modern Art in Brisbane. Police also tried to remove one of his collaborative artworks in an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney because of its graphic nature. He also began and continues to run the Australian street art website ‘Stupid Krap’ and started the yearly paste-up festival Paste-Modernism, which is the largest of its kind in the world.</p>

<p><b>Tavar Zawacki</b> formerly known as &#8216;ABOVE&#8217; (born 1981) is an American <a title="Abstract art" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abstract_art">abstract artist</a> living and working in <a title="Lisbon" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisbon">Lisbon</a>, Portugal.<sup id="cite_ref-BIO_1-0" class="reference"><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tavar_Zawacki#cite_note-BIO-1">[1]</a></sup> For twenty years (1996–2016) Tavar Zawacki created and signed all of his artworks with his <a title="Street artist" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_artist">street artist</a> pseudonym, &#8216;ABOVE&#8217;.<sup id="cite_ref-p_155_2-0" class="reference"><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tavar_Zawacki#cite_note-p_155-2">[2]</a></sup> Tavar was born and raised in California until the age of 19, at which time, Zawacki bought a one-way flight from California to Paris, France, bringing with him a backpack full of art supplies, all the money in his bank account (US$1,500), and a &#8216;rise above your fears&#8217; approach to starting his art career.<sup id="cite_ref-BIO_1-1" class="reference"><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tavar_Zawacki#cite_note-BIO-1">[1]</a></sup> Starting in Paris in 2000, Tavar transitioned from painting traditional letter style <a title="Graffiti" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graffiti">graffiti</a> of A-B-O-V-E, to his &#8216;Above arrow&#8217; icon that represented his optimistic mentality to &#8216;rise above fears, challenges, and anything holding you back from your goals.&#8217;<sup id="cite_ref-BIO_1-2" class="reference"><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tavar_Zawacki#cite_note-BIO-1">[1]</a></sup> During a 20-year period, the artworks of ABOVE could be seen in over 100 cities spanning 50 countries around the world.</p>

<p>Daniel Bombardier, also know as DENIAL, is a Canadian pop/mural artist whose aerosol and stencil artworks critique contemporary politics, capitalism, consumerism and the human condition. His artistic career began in 1999 during his involvement in the graffiti and street art movement. His studio is based in the border city of Windsor, Ontario, Canada next to Detroit, Michigan and he spends much of the year travelling, painting murals, and exhibiting throughout North America and internationally. DENIAL is known for his prolific guerrilla-marketing campaign, which takes public aim at ideas involving social-justice, pop-culture, and massmedia. With over 500,000 of his adhesive logos displayed in public places around the world, the DENIAL PROJECT has become a conceptual piece of marketing absurdism. Daniel is also the founder of FREE FOR ALL WALLS in Windsor, Canada which started in 2012. To date Daniel has curated and co-ordinated over 50 murals in the local community!</p>
